I have this headcannon that after meeting Natasha, Tony went home and got JARVIS to get all these online texts up that allowed him to learn latin and any other language that Natasha knew but kept it a secret so whenever she would insult him or talk to Clint in a foreign language or speak to Steve in french that he would just lean back with a little smirk on his face and after a few months when they’ve finished a conversation he comes out with this fluent, flawless one liner and grins in his usual Tony way, the others looking at him completely unamused, so Natasha goes away to learn Archaic Latin or some ridiculous language so she can continue insulting Tony. I dunno, I just always thought it was a very Natasha-Tony thing to do to try and one up each other in languages.
